BRUSH REMOVALThe German Township Maintenance Department provides, as a courtesy to German Township Residents, removal of residential trimming of brush or shrubs. This does not include the clearing of residential lots of trees, or for business use. If you hire a tree service to cut down or trim trees on your lot, the tree service should remove your brush.
TOWNSHIP BRUSH DROP OFF CHANGES
There will be no drop offs at the township location. The Township location is monitored by cameras and violators will be fined. We still offer curbside chipping services for Township residents that follow the Guidelines listed below and more details are on the Road Department page.
RESIDENTIAL BRUSH/LIMBS PICKUP
There is NO brush/mulch/tree/limb drop off allowed at the Township facilities. Township facilities are monitored by cameras. If you have a commercial tree service company do any work on your property the Township cannot pick up the brush/mulch/tree/limbs.
Guidelines for brush pick up are as follows:
No larger than 4 inch diameter (our chipper does not allow for larger branches)
No logs, stumps, or root systems
Place brush along road right-of-way NOT in the roadway
Place cut edges toward the road in neat piles (this allows quick, safe clearing of the brush)
Call the Township Maintenance Garage at 937-964-1665 to leave your address for brush pickup
The Maintenance Department will pick up your brush when they are in your neighborhood. German Township does not provide old Christmas tree or leaf pickup. Please do not rake leaves or grass clippings into ditches or culverts, as this will block the flow of water.
If you have any questions please feel free to call Township Office, 937-964-1661, or the Maintenance Garage, 937-964-1665.
